Default Applications

My applications always ask why the parents left the last daycare, a phone number for that daycare, and whether or not they have ever had a daycare report them for abuse or neglect.

While a previous daycare might not be an issues with a younger, only child, it might be when there are older siblings, or the child is older. I have never accepted a child into daycare where there has been difficulty with abuse or neglect.

I know that it is fairly easy for parents to lie about such things, but the psychological affect of seeing the question often weeds out folks that may be problematic.

How do you screen families before accepting the children into your daycare?
