Default employee's children

Does your daycare automatically guarantee a place for employees' children, or do you offer some other perk, like a discount if their children attend?

I have seen daycares that offer discount to employee's children but not completely free...it is almost a fifty percent fee cut.

I have seen 25% discounts. I think the percentage is so low because the center is still using space for the employee's child that could go to another child at full price, and expenses don't change, regardless of who the child belongs to.

Actually you are right sagemother....that place can definitely go to another child...but many daycares consider it as a perk given to an employee....to ensure better work performance.

Our local daycare centre offers a 25% discount to paid employee's, but I don't know about other centre's nationally.

I know people who will not work at a daycare unles the center offers a place to their child. It certianly makes you take a vested interest in the place's success.

yes...lyndsey...that is true...but the other side of this priviledge may be that the employee just takes care of his child and neglects the other kids....not upfront but through little things like doing favoritsim etc.
